CCBRT Eye Theatre Comprehensive

Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) is a locally registered non-governmental organization first established in 1994. It is now the largest indigenous provider of disability and rehabilitation services in the country. CCBRT comprises a well established disability hospital in Dar es Salaam, community programs in and around Dar es Salaam and Moshi, a training unit and an advocacy unit. Every year, around 120,000 adults and children with disabilities and their caregivers achieve a better quality of life through CCBRT services.

Although connected to the power grid and equipped with large stand by generators CCBRT had persistent problems of short power cuts during their sessions in the eye theatre where a 4 hour operation could be cut short several times. This provided unacceptable danger to the patients and damage to the equipment.

Voltzon has installed a complete power protection, stabilization and back-up system now removing every clinch in the power supply, switching between power sources within the blink of an eye.
